How to Actually Reach Instagram, Facebook and TikTok Support

Start with the notice inside the app and the official help centre. The route for a suspended account may differ from the route for a hacked profile or a technical issue. A paid subscription or ad account does not guarantee a solution or a particular response time.

If you are unsure which measure you are seeing, start with our diagnostic. Save the notice, date and case number.

Instagram and Facebook

For a suspended or disabled account, try signing in through the official app and follow the review steps shown. Do not rely on an old form address from a forum: the process may have changed or may not apply to your case.

For stolen access, use instagram.com/hacked or facebook.com/hacked. For reduced visibility, check Account Status and whether there is a specific measure you can appeal.

For business assets, check the help available in Meta Business Suite and the official Business Help Center. Chat access and support scope depend on the account and product. Check what Meta Verified includes in your region before paying; a subscription does not override content rules or promise account recovery.

TikTok

Use the in-app help and the notice for the affected account or post. If you suspect a breach, follow TikTok's hacked-account instructions: change your password, check your phone number and remove unfamiliar devices.

Account check in TikTok Studio or Safety Center helps identify which features are affected. For an advertising account, use support in TikTok Ads Manager if it is available to you.

YouTube, X and LinkedIn

YouTube offers Creator Support to eligible channels, such as those in the Partner Programme. Sign in to the correct channel and check the options in Studio. In some cases, the initial chat may be with an AI assistant. The Help Center and community are additional routes, without a promised response time.

For X and LinkedIn, start with the official help centre and the process for the specific problem. Do not assume a paid plan necessarily provides human support for every restriction.

What to include in your request

  1. The username or identifier of the affected asset.
  2. The exact date and wording of the decision.
  3. The rule cited and why you believe it was applied incorrectly.
  4. A short timeline and evidence where attachments are supported.
  5. The previous case number, if one exists.

Submit identity documents only through the official secure process when the platform requires them. Never send passwords, backup codes or login codes to an intermediary. Keep a copy of your submission and follow the tracking instructions instead of repeating the same message.

Options for users in the EU

For content moderation disputes, the DSA provides for internal complaint handling and certified out-of-court dispute settlement. The applicable process depends on the decision and platform.

The European Commission publishes a list of certified bodies with their scope and languages. Choose a body that covers your type of dispute. Its decisions are not binding on the parties and do not guarantee account restoration. Check eligibility, deadlines and any fees before submitting.

If you need help organising the facts and preparing an appeal, send your case for a free initial assessment. The platform decides the outcome.

Track an existing request

Keep the case number and a copy of the first message together. Check the official support inbox and the email used for the request, including spam. If more information is requested, read exactly what is missing and any deadline. Do not send new documents to a different address simply because someone claims to be an employee.

In a follow-up, include the case number and new information. Separate new facts from a repeat of the original submission. If another authorised administrator is handling a business asset, agree who will reply so you do not provide conflicting accounts. A consultant can help with wording and evidence without receiving your login codes.

When the case closes, check whether the specific problem has been resolved. Restored access to a personal profile does not establish that every related business permission or advertising feature has also returned.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an Instagram or Facebook support phone number?

Do not trust a number from an ad or an arbitrary search result. Check the channels listed in the official help centre for your product. Do not give login codes to someone claiming to be an employee.

How long does a reply take?

There is no common deadline for every channel. Follow any timeline stated in your case and check for requests for more information. We do not promise that a paid channel will respond faster.

Can I write in Bulgarian?

Check the languages the channel supports. Use a language in which you can explain the facts accurately. There is no guarantee that English will speed up the case.

Someone contacted me claiming to be support. Is it real?

A name and logo do not establish identity. Open the app or help centre independently and verify the request there. Do not provide passwords or codes, or pay an unverified contact.
